Kolumna Zygmunta III Wazy

Pomnik Zygmunta III Wazy, znajdujący się na warszawskim placu Zamkowym, został wzniesiony w latach 1643–1644 z inicjatywy Władysława IV Wazy. Jest to najstarszy świecki pomnik w Warszawie i pierwsza kolumna wzniesiona ku czci osoby świeckiej w nowożytnej Europie.

Monument zaprojektowali Augustyn Locci i Constantino Tencalla, a posąg króla, wykonany z brązu przez Clemente Molli, przedstawia Zygmunta III w zbroi, z koroną na głowie, trzymającego szablę i krzyż.

Kolumna została uszkodzona podczas wojny szwedzkiej, a potem wielokrotnie remontowana. Zniszczona przez Niemców w 1944 roku, została odbudowana w latach 1948–1949. W 1965 roku pomnik wpisano do rejestru zabytków.
